"Time to Join the Conglomeration"

Dear Friend,

When you hear the word conglomeration, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Well, according to Merriam Webster, there are three definitions taken from the root conglomerate:

(Noun) 1. A composite mass or mixture
2. A widely diversified corporation

(Verb) 1. To gather into a mass or coherent whole

(Adjective) 1. To wind into a ball, to roll together

What is noteworthy here is there is an interesting theme that runs through out each definition. That theme is the gathering together to form one mass.

As an African-American, living in America, I know all too well, and have seen first-hand the injustices to my people. The disenfranchised, the impoverished, the hopelessness, and it never ceases to amaze me that as a people, we own very little, manufacture nothing, yet spend billions of dollars with every other race but our own. We are consumers, not producers.

It occurred to me that in order to escape this perpetual cycle, we must become owners of our own businesses, and recycle our Black dollars within the Black community. I am writing to you as the owner of Metro Venture Capital, Inc., with the hope that once you finish reading this letter, you will see the big picture and join our conglomeration. It has to start somewhere, and so I say, “let’s start right NOW!!!”

As a member of MVC, Inc., you are saying to the world, I will be counted and I will be heard. I am joining with my brothers & sisters to be a part of the solution. MVC, Inc. has International affiliates that are on board with our common cause. Together, our conglomeration forms that one mass, that coherent whole mentioned in Merriam Webster’s definition. We need each and every African-American to join us and take their rightful place in history.
