From the moment we're born, our mind is sucking up information, storing it away and using it to create an internal map
of who you are and what your relationship is to the rest of the world. This internal map of reality is what creates the internal
experiences you have and the external results you get in life. A lot of these things happen unconsiously outside of our awareness.
this means that our minds create results that we don't want, without our being able to see how they are generated, these results seem
as if they just happen rather than coming from you. To create the results we want, inside and out we have to retrain our brains in such
a way that it performs the way we want it to. Some have been calling this the secret, I choose to call it mind mapping.
Our minds are so powerful that whatever you focus it on happens. Your mind has such creative power that it works overtime for us subconciously.
Our problem is that 99.99% of us are doing our focusing unconsiously, we're not choosing with awareness what exactly to focus on. We're allowing
our brain to focus on whatever its been programmed to focus on and getting the same results being left wondering what happened. We always seem to
be focused on potential dangers so we can avoid them, we think about them, we watch out for them and we obsess over them. What happens when we do that
is that our brains take the fact that we're focusing on something as an instruction to create it, or draw it to you and it proceeds to do it. If there's an
emotion attached to it (which often there is), our brain thinks: Not only do I need to create it, its urgent.
So, If you're getting what you don't want in life, internally and externally, the root cause is that you are focusing your mind on avoiding what you don't want,
and your brain is creating for you what you are focusing on. This means that when you worry about something, your mind thinks you want it. When you get what you don't
want you tend to think you must have not focused hard enough on avoiding it so you double up on your efforts which causes your brain to double up on its efforts, its a never
ending circle. I've begun to focus on what I want, I talk to myself about what I want, I create internal pictures in my mind about what I want. Whats happening is that
my beliefs are beginning to reorganize themselves in such a way that I'm beginning to get what I want. I don't create problems for myself that don't exist anymore
and things are changing slowly for me. I'm finally learning how to retrain my brain to allow it to work for me instead of against me. Some of this I got from an article and added
my own experiences.
